What to look out for when installing panelling?
- Providing room for manoeuvre - The panelling expands per fibre, so during installation always leave an adequate gap for the movement.
- Wood moisture content - Typical moisture content of kiln-dried panelling 14±2%but some distributors dry up to 10-12%. However, this does not guarantee that the wood will not absorb moisture from the air.
- Storage conditions - If the baseboard is stored in an inappropriate environment, either 15% backwetting can also occur, which can lead to deformation after installation.
